For 2019 the Volkswagen Tiguan is available in six trims, including the S, SE, SEL, SEL R-Line, SEL Premium and SEL Premium R-Line. Like the 2018 model, the 2019 Tiguan has a standard 200-hp, turbocharged 2.0 four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive while select trims receive a 184-hp version of that engine. All-wheel drive is also available as an option. For 2019 the Tiguan adds two new trims, including a SEL R-Line and a SEL Premium R-Line.   In addition, the Tiguan makes some premium features standard on more trims. These features include a Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, Park Distance Control and a car alarm system. For 2019, the Tiguan also replaces the SEL R-Line model with a new SEL R-Line Jet-Black trim that has similar features, including black exterior trim and large wheels. Another key difference between the 2019 and 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan is the starting MSRP difference.
