The new Volkswagen Tiguan and Toyota RAV4 offer a wide array of features and safety technology to ensure that drivers and passengers will be safe no matter the driving conditions. Both cars contain driver assistance features such as collision warning and avoidance systems, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control, but the Volkswagen Tiguan also has a new driver safety system that monitors steering input. The system tracks the rate at which drivers steer, and if it detects a significant amount of variation in steering angle, the Tiguan will automatically allow the brakes to be applied if the driver fails to respond.
